Ohio Firm Recalls Soup for Not Properly Stating It Contains Milk

Lil’ Turtles is recalling all lots of its Grandma Belle’s Tomato Basil Soup for misbranding due to the milk allergen not being declared on the label.  The issue was discovered during a routine inspection conducted by the Ohio Department of Agriculture.

In the picture of the label, the ingredient statement includes 'Butter', but does not explicitly say Milk.

Lil’ Turtles is recalling all lots of its Grandma Belle’s Tomato Basil Soup for misbranding due to the milk allergen not being declared on the label. The Grandma Belle’s Tomato Basil Soup was packaged in 17 oz glass jars.

The issue was discovered during a routine inspection conducted by the Ohio Department of Agriculture. There have been no reports of illness involving the product addressed in this recall, however, people who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of a serious allergic reaction if they consume this product.
