Supplier Issue has Cashews and Almonds in Granola Mix - Kwik Trip, Inc. located in La Crosse, WI is recalling Kitchen Cravings Strawberry and Mixed Berry Parfaits in an 8.25 oz. cup because they may contain undeclared traces of cashews or almonds. This recall was initiated after a chocolate covered cashew or almond was discovered in granola mix from an outside supplier.

Egg Missing on Label - Ottogi America, Inc. of Gardena, California announced today it is recalling 1lb 5.16ounce of Jin Ramen Mild 5pk. (Best Before Aug. 19th 2019) and Jin Ramen Spicy 5pk. (Best Before Aug. 20th 2019) due to undeclared egg as an ingredient on the packages.   Canadian Food Inspection Agency(CFIA) announced that the products may contain egg which is not declared on the label.

FSIS Label Check Finds Missing Allergens - Chunwei, Inc., a Huntington Park, Calif. establishment, is recalling approximately 65,023 pounds of various ready-to-eat and raw meat and poultry products because the products are misbranded and may contain soy, wheat, dairy, egg, and sesame, known allergens, as well as monosodium glutamate (MSG), which are not declared on the finished product label.  The problem was discovered by FSIS Inspection Program Personnel while conducting a routine label verification task.

Tree Nuts Missing from Label - First Source of Tonawanda, NY, is voluntarily recalling Chocolate and Nut Tray because it contains undeclared tree nuts, pecan and cashew. The recall was initiated after it was discovered that product containing pecan and cashews was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of the pecan and cashew. Subsequent investigation indicates the problem was caused by a temporary breakdown in the company’s labeling process.

Kwik Trip, Inc. located in La Crosse, WI is recalling Kitchen Cravings Strawberry and Mixed Berry Parfaits in an 8.25 oz. cup because they may contain undeclared traces of cashews or almonds. Consumers who are allergic to cashews or almonds may run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product. On November 27, 2018 Kwik Trip, Inc. became aware of this situation and have removed all Kitchen Cravings Strawberry and Mixed Berry Parfaits from their retail locations due to the undeclared allergen.

This recall was initiated after a chocolate covered cashew or almond was discovered in granola mix from an outside supplier.

The problem has been corrected. No adverse reactions have been reported.

The Kitchen Cravings Strawberry Parfait is an 8.25 oz. cup, UPC CODE 3977918435. The Kitchen Cravings Mixed Berry Parfait is an 8.25 oz. cup, UPC CODE 3977918436, both products were sold at Kwik Trip convenience stores in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa (Kwik Star) with a sell by date on or before 12/6/2018.

Consumers who are allergic to cashews or almonds and have purchased the Strawberry or Mixed Berry Parfait cups on or before 11/27/2018 are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund. Ottogi America, Inc. of Gardena, California announced today it is recalling 1lb 5.16ounce of Jin Ramen Mild 5pk. (Best Before Aug. 19th 2019) and Jin Ramen Spicy 5pk. (Best Before Aug. 20th 2019) due to undeclared egg as an ingredient on the packages. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

Only Jin Ramen Mild 5pk. printed “BEST BEFORE AUG.19.2019” and Jin Ramen Spicy 5pk. printed “BEST BEFORE AUG.20.2019” have been recalled, which were delivered to retail stores nationwide. The “BEST BEFORE” date can be found on the front of the package. No other products of any other size or similarity were affected.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem. Distribution and selling these products have been suspended until FDA and the company are certain that the problem has been corrected. Canadian Food Inspection Agency(CFIA) announced that the products may contain egg which is not declared on the label.

WASHINGTON, Nov. 23, 2018 – Chunwei, Inc., a Huntington Park, Calif. establishment, is recalling approximately 65,023 pounds of various ready-to-eat and raw meat and poultry products because the products are misbranded and may contain soy, wheat, dairy, egg, and sesame, known allergens, as well as monosodium glutamate (MSG), which are not declared on the finished product label, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.

The products were produced on various dates from Nov. 16, 2017 through Nov. 19, 2018. The following products are subject to recall and can be found here, [View Labels (PDF only)].

The products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. P-8110” or “EST. 8110” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to a distributor and to retail locations nationwide.

The problem was discovered by FSIS Inspection Program Personnel while conducting a routine label verification task.

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.

FSIS is concerned that some product may be consumers’ refrigerators or freezers. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.

FSIS routinely conducts recall effectiveness checks to verify that recalling firms are notifying their customers of the recall and that actions are being taken to make certain that the product is no longer available to consumers. When available, the retail distribution list(s) will be posted on the FSIS website at www.fsis.usda.gov/recalls.

First Source of Tonawanda, NY, is voluntarily recalling Chocolate and Nut Tray because it contains undeclared tree nuts, pecan and cashew. People who have an allergy or sensitivity to tree nuts (Pecan & Cashew) run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

The recalled item was distributed to 98 Wegmans Food Markets in the states of MA, MD, NJ, NY, PA, and VA. The affected product was sold from November 8, 2018 to November 20, 2018.

The product comes in a four-quadrant plastic tray, NET WT 37 OZ (2 LBS 5 OZ) 1.05KG, with UPC: 0 23637 43369 0, and Best Before Date of 07/09/19.

No illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported to date.

Wegmans will place automated phone calls to notify customers who purchased the product using their Shoppers Club Card of the recall.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered that product containing pecan and cashews was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of the pecan and cashew. Subsequent investigation indicates the problem was caused by a temporary breakdown in the company’s labeling process.
