Sulfites Detected by State - #1 Bronx, NY is recalling Fruits Du Sud Golden Seedless Raisins (Lot No. FDS T499/18) 30 lbs Box, because they contain undeclared SULFITES.  The recall was initiated after routine sampling by the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Food Inspectors and subsequent analysis by the Department’s Food Laboratory Personnel revealed the presence of sulfites in the product, which were not declared on the label.

Sulfites Detected by State - #2 New Nan Fong Hong Trading Inc. is recalling its 16 oz (454g) packages of Source Day Natural Treasures Dried Liquorice Slice because they contain undeclared sulfites. The recall was initiated after routine sampling by New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Food Inspectors and subsequent analysis of the product by the New York State Food Laboratory personnel revealed the presence of sulfite allergens in packages of Source Day Natural Treasures Dried Liquorice Slice which did not declare sulfites as an ingredient on the label.

Residual Milk in Processing Lines - Saratoga Springs, NY - Stewart’s Shops Corp. is recalling units of Stewart’s Shops brand Cranberry Apple Refresher 16 fluid oz. because the product may contain undeclared milk. The recall was initiated after routine quality control testing discovered that a milk allergen was in the product.

Edamame is Soy - Cedar’s Mediterranean Foods, of Ward Hill, MA is voluntarily recalling Cedar’s Chickpea Salad 8 oz. because it may contain undeclared edamame (soy). Cedar’s initiated the recall when it was discovered that misprinted labels omitted the edamame ingredient and allergy statement.

Wrong Beans - Faribault Foods, Inc. of Faribault, MN is recalling its 15 ounce S&W White Beans because it contains undeclared sulfites.  The recall was initiated after it was discovered via consumer feedback that the contents in the can are garbanzo beans and were mislabeled as white beans. Subsequent investigation indicates the problem was caused by a temporary breakdown in the company’s packaging processes.

Wrong Label Angel Food Caked Labeled as Cornbread - Clackamas Bakery has recalled Fred Meyer Bakery Angel Food Cake Bar (12 oz.) sold in its retail stores because the product may contain milk and soy not listed on the label. Clackamas Bakery initiated the recall when it was discovered that the Fred Meyer Bakery Angel Food Cake Bar label had been incorrectly applied to packages of cornbread.

Formula Changed Not Reflected on Label - Feel Good Foods Inc. of Brooklyn, NY is recalling six lots of “Vegetable Fried Rice” frozen meals, UPC 00899039002129 because they may contain undeclared egg.  The recall was initiated after it was discovered that egg-containing product was distributed in packaging, which did not declare egg as an ingredient.  This problem was a result of the manufacturer failing to remove egg from the product formula as instructed. The manufacturer continued to include egg in the formula, while applying revised ingredient labels to packaging, which did NOT call out egg.

The recall was initiated after routine sampling by the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Food Inspectors and subsequent analysis by the Department’s Food Laboratory Personnel revealed the presence of sulfites in the product, which were not declared on the label.  The consumption of 10 mg of sulfites per serving has been reported to elicit severe reactions in some asthmatics, Anaphylactic shock could occur in certain sulfite sensitive individual s upon ingesting 10 mg or more sulfites. Analysis of the Fruits Du Sud Golden Seedless Raisins revealed it contained 16 mg per serving.

Consumers who are allergic to sulfite allergens run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product.

The product comes in a 16 oz (454g) plastic package, no expiration date, no UPC code. It is a product of China. The recalled Source Day Natural Treasures Dried Liquorice Slice was distributed in New York City.

This product was distributed to retailers in AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, PA, RI, TX, UT, VT, and WI.

The Cedar’s Chickpea Salad is packaged in an 8 oz. plastic container, with UPC Code: 044115337767. The product is a refrigerated product with Sell By Dates from 9/23/18 – 11/9/18.

Cedar’s initiated the recall when it was discovered that misprinted labels omitted the edamame ingredient and allergy statement. No illnesses have been reported to date.

Consumers allergic to soy who have purchased this product should not consume it.

For consumers who are not allergic to soy there is no safety issue with the product.

Cedar’s Chickpea Salad 8 OZ. with Sell By Dates of 11/10/18 and later is not affected.

No other products produced by Cedar’s Mediterranean Foods are affected by this recall.

Saratoga Springs, NY - Stewart’s Shops Corp. is recalling units of Stewart’s Shops brand Cranberry Apple Refresher 16 fluid oz. because the product may contain undeclared milk.  People who have an allergy to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product. Approximately 2,300 units of affected product were distributed in upstate New York and Southern Vermont.

The Stewart’s Shops brand Cranberry Apple Refresher is packaged in a 16 oz. plastic bottle, UPC 0 82086 31014 3, and has a silver label with a green plastic cap. Affected units have an expiration code date of NOV 19 which can be found on the neck of the bottle. All other expiration code dates of Cranberry Apple Refresher are not affected by this recall.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.

The recall was initiated after routine quality control testing discovered that a milk allergen was in the product.

Customers who purchased Stewart’s Shops brand Cranberry Apple Refresher with a code date of NOV 19 are urged to return them to their local Stewart’s Shops for a full refund. The recalled S&W White Beans were distributed in the states of Washington, Oregon, and Alaska. This voluntary recall covers a specific production code manufactured at the facility located in Faribault, MN with can code “Best By AUG 23 2020 1310 F2 236 17 XXXX (time stamp).&rdquo To locate the production code, consumers should look at the bottom of the can. No other production codes, sizes or brands of Faribault Foods, Inc. products are affected by this recall.

No illnesses have been reported to date. The recall was initiated after it was discovered via consumer feedback that the contents in the can are garbanzo beans and were mislabeled as white beans. Clackamas Bakery has recalled Fred Meyer Bakery Angel Food Cake Bar (12 oz.) sold in its retail stores because the product may contain milk and soy not listed on the label. Clackamas Bakery initiated the recall when it was discovered that the Fred Meyer Bakery Angel Food Cake Bar label had been incorrectly applied to packages of cornbread.

People who are allergic to milk or soy could have a severe reaction if they consume this product. For consumers who are not allergic to milk or soy, there is no safety issue with the product. No customer illnesses have been reported at this time.

All Fred Meyer stores located in OR, WA, ID, AK are included. Fred Meyer stores have removed this item from store shelves and initiated its customer recall notification system that alerts customers who may have purchased recalled Class 1 products through register receipt tape messages and phone calls.

Feel Good Foods Inc. of Brooklyn, NY is recalling six lots of “Vegetable Fried Rice” frozen meals, UPC 00899039002129 because they may contain undeclared egg. People who have allergies to egg run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

The recalled “Vegetable Fried Rice” meals were distributed nationwide to approximately 400 retail stores.

The product, pictured below, comes in a 9 Oz rectangular cardboard carton. Affected product has an ingredient sticker on the back, as well as one of the following best-by dates stamped on the side: 10/27/19; 10/29/19; 12/04/19; 01/25/20; 01/26/20; 01/28/20

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.
