Wrong Product Added to Packing Line - Sanders announced today that it is recalling its 3.75oz Milk Chocolate Covered Fudge Mini Bites because they may contain undeclared almonds.  The recall was initiated after it was discovered that the Almond-containing product was inadvertently added to a production line which was packaging product that did not contain Almonds. [Operational error]

Imported Product with Undeclared Milk - Brooklyn, NY importer is recalling its 16.5 oz packages of Cheese Biscuits because they may contain undeclared milk allergen.  The recall was initiated after routine sampling by New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Food Inspectors and subsequent analysis by Food Laboratory personnel revealed the presence of undeclared milk allergens in the 16.5 oz packages of Cheese Biscuits which did not declare a milk ingredient on the label.

Consumer Allergic to Walnuts Triggers Recall - A CA company is recalling 20 cases of cookies because they may contain undeclared tree nuts. "To date there has been one reported case of an allergic reaction to the walnuts.The consumer who suffered the allergic reaction reported the incident to the FDA when it was discovered that the walnuts were not supposed to be in that product as they are not listed on the label as an ingredient or allergen. The reason behind the undeclared tree nut is still unknown and the investigation is ongoing, however, a breakdown in the companies mixing procedures or incorrect labeling is suspected."

Undeclared Sulfites on Dried Apricot - Global Commodities, Inc. of Hicksville, NY is recalling 1lb and 0.5lb packages of WATAN DRY FRUITS Brand Natural Dried Apricot with Pitt, because it contains undeclared sulfites.  The undeclared sulfites were found as a result of routine product testing conducted by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Subsequently, investigation indicated the problem was caused by a temporary breakdown in the company’s production and packaging processes. Production of the product has been suspended until the company is certain that the problem has been corrected.

Ingredient Testing Discovers Undeclared Milk Allergen - Divvies announced today a voluntary recall of its Benjamint Crunch Chocolate bars due to possible undeclared milk in the peppermint used in the bars. This issue was discovered through routine testing of ingredients.  [Supplier Error]

The recalled 3.75oz Milk Chocolate Covered Fudge Mini Bites were distributed throughout several Michigan retail stores.

The product comes in a 3.75 ounce, gray and black package marked with lot 8109 FL and Best By Date January 31, 2019 ink-jetted on the rear.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered that the Almond-containing product was inadvertently added to a production line which was packaging product that did not contain Almonds.

Other production dates of the product are not affected.

SDQ Trading Inc. of 651A Lexington Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11221 is recalling its 16.5 oz packages of Cheese Biscuits because they may contain undeclared milk allergen. Consumers who are allergic to milk allergen may run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product.

The recalled Cheese Biscuits were distributed in New York State in retail stores. The product comes in a 16.5 oz, clear plastic package. The product UPC code is 6926145712902.

No illnesses or allergic reactions involving this product have been reported to date.

Dough-to-Go of Santa Clara, CA is recalling 20 cases of cookies because they may contain undeclared tree nuts. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to walnuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

Zoe’s Cookies are manufactured by Dough-to-Go and were sold to a local foodservice distributor and subsequently distributed to their customers in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The product is a 4oz vegan tuxedo fudge chocolate cookie that is individually wrapped with the Zoe’s brand name and flavor label on the front and the nutritional information and ingredient listing on the back. These are packed 24 to a case and sold with a product label and production code on the outside container. The UPC number on the cookie label is 044964133404 and the lot code of the cases in question is 222620.

To date there has been one reported case of an allergic reaction to the walnuts.

Global Commodities, Inc. of Hicksville, NY is recalling 1lb and 0.5lb packages of WATAN DRY FRUITS Brand Natural Dried Apricot with Pitt, because it contains undeclared sulfites. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to sulfites run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

The WATAN DRY FRUITS Brand Natural Dried Apricot with Pitt was distributed from January 2015 to December 2017. The product was distributed at retail stores in New York State.

WATAN DRY FRUITS Brand Natural Dried Apricot with Pitt is packed in clear plastic bags coded with Best Before Date: December 2018. The product is sold in two sizes; NET WT 1 LB, with UPC 088247504666 and .50 LB. The dried apricot is a product of Pakistan.

Divvies announced today a voluntary recall of its Benjamint Crunch Chocolate bars due to possible undeclared milk in the peppermint used in the bars.  The recall is limited solely to the Benjamint Crunch Bars that were sold online through the Divvies website.  This recall will impact approximately 140 consumers.
